The Henriette Longstay Apartments are located in the heart of Vienna’s vibrant 2^nd District, on the historic Praterstrasse. This roughly one-kilomettre-long tree-lined avenue is a central business and residential street that connects Vienna's city centre, the Danube Canal and the Prater.

With the bicycle “highway” above and underground line U1 directly below, Praterstraße is not only an important axis of traffic, but also a lively residential area. Apartments, shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants line the street, many with outdoor seating areas.
In the surrounding area, you’ll also find many other important everyday facilities: doctors, schools and educational institutions, religious sites, a public library, pharmacies, and more.
Thanks to its close proximity to the Danube Canal, the Green Prater, and the expansive Augarten Park, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking or cycling.

Right outside your door, the Prater with its iconic Ferris wheel and the Augarten with its baroque park and orangery invite you to wander and discover. Thanks to excellent public transport connections – subway, trams, and buses just a few minutes’ walk away – Vienna's most famous sights are also within easy reach: St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Hofburg Palace, MuseumsQuartier, Belvedere, and Schönbrunn Palace are all just minutes away.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

There are numerous shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity of Henriette Long-stay Apartments, so you can quickly pick up groceries and everyday items on foot.

In addition to the large Austrian supermarket chains Spar, Billa and Hofer, there are also several bakeries and smaller international grocery stores within walking distance.
Ten minutes away, at Praterstern, Billa Praterstern is also one of the few supermarkets in Vienna that is open on Sundays.

Is there a permanent market or weekly market near the Henriette Apartments?

Yes. The Karmelitermarkt is only a 15-minute walk from Henriette Longstay.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, the market offers cheese specialties, meat, various dairy products, organic products, as well as fresh fish and seafood.
There are also several good restaurants and bars in and around the market.
On Fridays and Saturdays, a farmers’ market is also held at the Karmelitermarkt.
The Karmelitermarkt is one of the oldest markets still operating in Vienna.

Only the Danube Canal separates our furnished long-term apartments from the 1^st District (Innere Stadt). With the U1 underground right outside your door, it’s just two stops to Stephansplatz, or a 15–20 minute walk.
